Beautiful Dec 21, 2011
By Roronoa Zoro
The picture on this monitor is absolutely beautiful, as is the monitor itself.
- PHYSICAL CONSTRUCTION, stand included, is sturdy enough that I don't have to worry about knocking the monitor over or breaking it. TILTING the monitor is efforless, and it rotates up and down enough that I don't have to worry about my seat height, i.e., if I sit high and need to make the monitor face up to face me, it is easily done.
- I don't do photography work, so I don't worry about calibration and so on, but the COLORS are vivid and clear. It has several convenient color modes, including a "warm" one, which I use in the evening to relax my eyes before bed.
- The picture is very sharp. This is because such a high resolution is packed into a 21.5 inch screen. The PIXEL PITCH is as good as you will get in this generation's monitors that are in a usable size.
- The VIEWING ANGLE is absolutely amazing.
- Has a HDMI port for extra devices!
- None really.

Great Screen Nov 27, 2011
By Joshua Cohoe
Pros: I bought three of these to use in eyefinity mode with my new Radeon 6990. They have a fantastic crisp picture and work fantastically in eyefinity mode. Shipping was extremely fast. The stands seem to be a little unstable if the screens are bumped but when left alone the screen don't move (the screens aren't supposed to be bumped so I don't see this as a con. I checked all three of the screens for dead pixels upon receipt of which I could find none. I have had the screens for about a month and a half now without any problems.

Great monitor for the money Jan 03, 2012
By C. X. Carroll
I recently ordered three of these for a CAD workstation in my garage. Overall, I'm very happy with them.
-LED backlighting (the colors really "pop")
-Not an IPS panel (which isn't realistic at this price anyways)
Overall, an excellent monitor.

Beautiful monitor with excellent picture quality! Feb 12, 2012
- HDMI connection.
- Great for PC gaming.
- Easy to use menu interface with physical buttons.
- Power LED(Blue/Amber)intensity isn't distracting at all.
- Slim and Clean monitor design with excellent crisp picture quality.
- 2 HDMI connections would be awesome!
ASUS is now my preferred manufacturer of monitors.

Must Have Received a Lemon May 17, 2012
I had very high expectations of this monitor after purchasing an Asus monitor back in 2010 with no problems. Unfortunately, right off the bat I had a bright green stuck pixel in the middle of the screen. I ran UDPixel, used the touch fix, tap fix, and tried every other potential fix I could find. It upsets me that people find it acceptable including the manufacturer to have up to 3 or 4 dead/stuck pixels before they consider it defective. I was surprised to see how many people mentioned the fact that that they had the same concern and still rated this 5 stars on here and Newegg. I understand once in awhile you will get a bad unit but the problem seems way too common on any of the current Asus monitors. This is probably the 5th LCD I purchased and never had any issues like this. My second gripe is the garbage stand that is included. I also see this mentioned in other reviews and once again people just breeze over it and still give it a 5 star rating. Third concern is the light bleed was terrible on the edges with a dark screen even with adjusting the backlight. Finally, the UI to change any of the scrren settings is the least user friendly I have seen on any monitor. I expected more from Asus and guess I'm upset that these design flaws are overlooked by the manufacturer. LCDs are not a new technology and these types of problems should have been worked on many years ago. I have returned this for a refund and currently have an LG on the way. We'll see how it goes.
- Specs on paper
- Dead pixel
- Light bleed from edges
- Cheap base
- Terrible UI
