 Works OK - Not the usual Bracketron quality ! Feb 28, 2013

I have purchased Bracketron holders in the past and they worked great. The one shown here for the golf cart works fine once it is finally mounted in the cart. That's where the problem starts. It is hard to tighten into the cup holder and the head easily falls off. After wrestling with it for quite a few minutes it fits and works fine. There is nothing like a wrestling match just before a round of golf. Holds GPS rangefinder or cellphone fine, but not the usual quality found in one of their products.

I have used this item once so far and have been completely satisfied. I purchased it primarily for holding my Golf GPS in the golf cart, it works great, it adapts to the carts cupholders, can be adjusted for easy viewing, and seems very stable. I have also used it for holding my auto GPS and MP3 player in my car. Considering the low price (under $10 = shipping) I think it was an excellant purchase and am completely satisfied. It even comes with a lifetime warranty if you register your purchase online. Have no idea of how manufacturer will stand behind warranty at this time, but I really don't care. The price was right and the quality seems to be satisfactory to make me feel that I got a bargain. Hve already reccommended unit to my golfing friends.

This holder adjusts perfectly to fit in the golf cart cup holder. It is very secure and makes my SkyCaddie very easy to read. A terrific substitute for the $60. name brand holder. It is a bit heavy because it needs the weight to keep it balanced and secure. I carry mine in a tote bag to the course or in my golf shoebag. If you have a take-home cart it would be a snap to leave in the cart. You won't be disappointed.

Only negative is a little bulky to carry around. Does not fit in golf bag well. fFits nice and secure in cup holders.

This is the second one I've had, the first one wore out after a few years. The mechanism for tightening the unit in the cup holder no longer worked so I tossed it. I wanted something I could glance at quickly and not have to fumble around with to see the screen. This unit accomplished that. The first unit I had worked well so I ordered another one when the first gave out. There are other options out there but this unit was simple and cheap. The one change I had to make was to put a piece of shelf liner in the cup holder before putting the Grip IT mount in the holder. The unit does have an adjustment for sizing to the cup dimensions but some cup holders are not standard in carts and some worked better than others, even after adjusting, so the unit could pop out on a bump. I cut a small square of shelf liner, the rubber kind, so there would be some extra friction inside the cup holder so the unit didn't fall out on a bumpy path. A little added friction did the trick. I'd recommend the unit for someone that uses a cart while golfing and wants easy visual access to their GPS unit.
