 It' a battery! May 23, 2010

Not much to say about a battery. Received battery promptly. Was exactly what Amazon presented it to be. Fit in my remote like it was made for it. Took a charge and has been working great ever since. I thinking this is the world's finest battery. I'll be telling my grandchildren about this battery. Probably a better battery deal than the 96 pack of double A's I bought at Sam's back in '03.

The Squeezebox Duet remote uses this battery too. Check Logitech's web site: "Lithium-ion battery for use with Harmony 1000 or the Squeezebox Duet (Controller)", p/n 993-000145. The battery in my Duet remote wouldn't hold a charge, I got one of these, and it works great. It's even got the same labeling as the one it replaced.

I replaced my original Harmony 1100 battery with this one; it works great and holds a charge just like brand new.

It was a real debate to give this 3 stars. On the one hand it seems to give about the power indicated on the label (900mAh) however the labeling on the product certainly is deceptive. All the labeling is almost exactly the same as the OEM battery, including the Logitech logo, which I think should only be used for Logitech products. The OEM batteries are 1250 mAh, and Logitech customer support says they are no longer available.
After a week or so I have *not* noticed any of the worst traits of counterfeit batteries (extremely short discharge cycles, overheating during either charge or discharge) so the particular item I received seems OK. The duty cycle for my usage pattern (always with the IR extender) is many many times what I was getting from my aged OEM battery. I would give this 4 or maybe even 5 stars if the labeling was not deceptive.

This batter replaces the original battery in my Harmony 1100 remote which was not holding a charge anymore. Now it charges and holds just fine.
