Nice job Otterbox, finally, a great case for the Mytouch 4g.
This is a snazzy two-piece design which complements the phone's natural appearance rather well; the first layer of thin rubber hugs the whole phone while the hard shell snaps over it, leaving all the cutouts and buttons protected and still exposed to the user, the case looks great and doesn't pack on too much bulge. It handles just as well, it slides nicely in and out of a pocket and the buttons/protective flaps along the ports are well fit and responsive. Also, I really like the texture of the thin layer of rubber used, it feels quite nice to the touch even though it naturally attracts a little bit of pocket matter.
A few cons I would like to point out are the cheap screen protector included, this thing has no cutouts along the top for either the front facing camera or the small lights of the MT4G, it's serves well enough as a temp but I would really consider getting a better one. Also, the thin layer of exposed rubber used along the top and bottom of the case doesn't feel very protective, I would have been happier with a little bit more rubber rounding off around the corners. And lastly, the hard plastic shell doesn't grip surfaces very well when rested on its back. I can picture this phone sliding or tumbling for longer than it should if it were to take a nasty drop, not a big deal, just note that the surface is a little slick.
Details, details,details, overall this case is very nice and well worth the money. Another case I was eyeing before I bought this one was the Trident "Aegis" case, you may want to check them out if you're in the market for a good case other than this Otterbox.

Have been a big fan of Otterbox cases for awhile since I bought one for my wife's blackberry. Been waiting for this case to come out for the Mytouch. The usual excellent build quality from Otterbox. I like how the silicon is thicker on the top and bottom to provide more protection. It comes with a screen protector that is easy to apply. It adds very little bulk to the phone and the plastic case makes it easy to slip in and out of your pocket unlike full silicon cases.

Excellent product. Easy to install and protects your phone.
If you get an expensive smartphone, then this is the way to go.
You don't want to invest $400+ on your phone and then leave it unprotected.
It will definitively pay off and increase the value of the phone when you want to sell it later on.
I was introduces to Otterbox while I was a Blackberry user and since then I was in love with it :-)
It comes with:
- Self-adhering clear screen protector
- Silicone skin
- Polycarbonate outer shell (this goes on top of silicone skin)
Easy access to USB and headphone port.
Easy access to all buttons (sleep button, camera button and volume button)
Two days after I got it, I dropped the phone while getting out of the car, but thanks God I had the Otterbox, and not even a scratch!
Cons: Is designed to be carried in a pocket or bag and does not accommodate a belt clip/holster

This case is great for my new myTouch 4G. I've had the case for about a month now and have no major problems. Only small issue is the flap for the head-phone jack - it usually doesn't stay closed and sometimes flops around. Otherwise this case has protected my phone from at least 1 major fall with no damage to the phone.
Pros:
+ = Hard case offers superior protection
+ = Ridge around the screen protects it when laying flat
+ = Included screen protector is high quality
+ = Protects phone without hindering use (all buttons work well and size/weight of the phone is not greatly increased)
Cons:
- = Silicone rubber collects small amounts of lint/dust (cosmetic)
- = Headphone jack usually doesn't stay closed

In short words I must say that the Trident Aeigis case is much better. More of a protective look . Does does slide off edges of phone. Trident is more of a protector on all corners and screen.... Bummer. I spent the money on the Otter Commuter version and am just putting it in drawer. Trident is back on it. Thanks Trident
