I have the soundstation 2 in my office which works great and thought the SoundStation 2W would be perfect for my home office. This unit does a very poor job of picking up people in the room even when they are 2 feet away. I strongly discourage buying this unit.

While there was a little bit of sticker shock in the cost of the phone, it is worth it. Calls are clear with no feedback or distortion even with multiple people talking at once. The wireless feature is a huge plus and has a great range. We use this phone constantly in a upstairs conference room which is a good 30 feet away and have had no problems with signals breaking up or getting choppy. Battery life is pretty good and haven't had any issues with long calls. Power cord that comes with it is long enough should you need power. Only thing I would improve on this is some form of wireless charging station to put the unit on so you didn't have to remember to plug it back it after being used.

I've used this at several offices before, and decided I needed one for myself. The one negative is that the wire provided to connect this phone to mobile phones comes with a 2.5mm jack. There hasn't been a real phone in 4-5 years that comes with a 2.5mm jack. All iPhones, new Blackberries and most Android phones all use 3.5mm jacks. It's just a small mistake, but a glaringly obvious one.
Everything else about the phone is great, but I would prefer a slightly better speed dial and phone book functionality.

ultra portable conference phone with great range, and great sound quality. this is a great product overall. if you need an analog conference phone that can go from room to room this is it.
