This was perfect for me to able to connect my monitor, for the video card had a DVI-I and the monitor a DVI-D, go figure, companies cant do just one thing they have to make our lives miserable and make us buy more stuff, we should do something about that(if there's something to do, that is).

This adapter has covered my need to be able to use slightly older equipment with my newer laptop. It's getting fairly regular use as I sometimes switch between monitors or projectors. It's still holding up after more than a year, and I've had no issues with it. It's got decent construction, fit's fine at both ends, and consistently works. Good enough for five stars.

Not the best made adapter but does the job. If you can find something better -- go for that. Otherwise, this one works too
